ABOUT

Hi! I'm Tamara and I provide counseling, coaching, and consulting for adults.

I started my psychology career in 2002, studying the link between brain and behavior. While working in various medical and hospital settings, I noticed how easily we ignore our bodies and physical health when treating psychological ailments. After studying Yoga, Pilates, Anatomy, and various approaches to spirituality, I realized that I wanted to incorporate my knowledge of physical health and wellbeing as well as my interest in various spiritual and religious studies in a more holistic approach to my work.

During graduate school at the San Diego State University and University of California, San Diego Joint Doctoral Program, I specialized in Clinical Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience research. I have presented talks at numerous local, national, and international research conferences and am a published author in peer-reviewed journals, including The Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, Drugs and Aging, and Neuroscience Letters.

I have a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and 15 years of counseling and consulting experience providing mental health assessment and treatment in a variety of settings including outpatient psychotherapy clinics, community mental health centers, hospitals, universities, and private practice working with a diverse set of people across various stages of life.
